Show HN: Offline Kanban desktop app – cross-platform, built with Tauri and Nuxt Hi everyone! Trobo here, the creator of Kanri. This has been my main side/passion project for around a year now, so here's a bit of a back story: In the COVID-19 lockdown, I needed a new way to handle the big amount of tasks which were thrown at me in school, mostly coming in through emails so it was very difficult to keep track of them. That's where I discovered Trello and instantly fell in love with it. For the whole lockdown period, I used it extensively to organize my tasks, and it was great. Naturally as a programmer, I was drawn in to try making my own apps in the productivity space as well. Having just started out with web development, I tried making todo apps, pomodoro timers, and finally - a Kanban board app. After showcasing a little prototype to some fellow programmers on Discord, one of them asked me: "Is there a way you could make this into a Desktop app which you can use offline?" And that's how the predecessor, kanban-electron was born - an app which works with no internet connection and saves everything offline, in a local JSON file. This has made the one user who requested it happy, and since then also a few more. Since then, I have rewritten the app to use Tauri and Nuxt.js v3 (instead of v2) and have slowly been working to add more and more features. The amazing feedback of the community keeps me going, and even though I was busy or close to burning out, development is still slowly progressing, with me as the only dev working on it.
