The closest link of a child to the parent is the MOTHER, that is why most persons talk more to their mom rather than their fathers. I am not in anyway belittling the fathers but just saying the mothers deserves praise and honour.
Of course, that is why the children go straight to their mother when things seems hard when they think their father is a little bit hard because the have a solemn trust in their mother.
Perhaps, I wish to come from this angle. . . how many of us born of a woman can stand, watching and moping when someone is raining insults to our mother? I bet, no reasonable child born of a woman.
But this is not the same as the woman we celebrate today. We have insulted her in one way or the other. In some period, we have tagged her as an ENVELOPE, in another instance we have said she is not necessary in our salvation and so she should mind Her own business.
These words 'envelope or letter or she is no longer needed for my salvation' are insult to her because it is her son we are relying for salvation and just imaging if someone walks to you and tells you that your mother is no longer needed in this life, that she should be driven out from the family or worst still she should be killed or excommunicated. . .how would you feel? I guess you will not be clapping for the person telling you those nonsense.
How then will Jesus feel if all these insults are been thrown towards His mother? The painful aspect is that some persons see her as an ordinary woman.
How can you see a woman who brought forth the Saviour of the world, the prince of peace, the wonderful counsellor. . . an ordinary woman?
For your information, she is no ordinary woman. She is the one who trained the SAVIOUR and thought him how to LOVE beyond measure in such a way that the love knows no bound. She is the queen of heaven and earth. A collaborator is not even the right word, I am tempted to say she is my saviour because if she has refused those words from the angel in the gospel of Luke, I will not be alive.
Just as i used to say Thank you Jesus, I am equally saying thank you Mother Mary.
Acknowledge MARY THE MOTHER OF GOD today and always and see wonders.
Let me tell you one secrete about Her.
Anyone who comes close to her, that person becomes holy. If I am lying, read your bible very well concerning her visit to Elizabeth. The moment Elizabeth heard just her greeting, what happen to her and her son?
